I think Colts can still do it, it'll just be much closer, Colts will have a good fan morale due to the Dungy's and the thought of going to the Superbowl after being harassed by the Patriots for years now, Dwight Freeney should be able to put enough pressure on Roethlisberger to force the harder passes but Ward will still be hard to cover. I'm thinking the margin will be 3 points for the Colts win because of the ferocity of Colts offense and the strength of Steelers D.

maybe but the steelers are gonna come in pumped up ready to play. the colts are gonna have to match their intesity or get blwon away. they wil be coming hard on defense at manning and the front line hasnt looked to hot lately specialy against the chargers. Roethlisberger is a big guy and can handle himself. he has good pocket presence and can escape the blitz. and if willie parker comes out and has himself a good game im stil saying steelers in an upset. they have somethin to prove. they are playing w/ a chip on their shoulder and they will come out hard.

Yeah, but it isn't like the Colts have nothing to play for. They are playing for coach Dungy after his loss, which affects them all. Also, the last 3 games don't provide the proper litmus to say that they are on the decline, with the loss of coach Dungy's son and all, and then resting starters. And with all the rest they've been able to gather, they will have alot of energy to bring into this game, and trust me their fans will bring it too, just like last time.
My predictions:
Pats @ Denver: Denver, entirely because of the way they play at home
Steelers @ Colts: Colts, they are just a beastly team.
Panthers @ Bears: Bears, I don't believe the Bears lost a game at Soldier field this year, and they pwnd the Panthers last meeting.
Redskins @ Seahawks: Seahawks, the Redskins showed me nothing on offense last game, and the Bucs started to pick away at their defense late in the game, they can't win a shootout with the Seahawks.

thank you for that as it was unusefull and gave nothing to this thread. here it is the bears ownd the pathers the first time at Solider Field. 13-3 they shut down the pathers offense. guess what? its gonna happena gain. the bears havent allowed double digit points at there home this year. i doubt it will start in the playoffs. the bears had to play hard to get here and they are gonna come out hard as heck. they wanna prove to everyone that they are a playoff calibur team.

Well, I have to go with Colts cuz I've liked them for awhile, and my girlfriend's dad is a big Steelers fan. I have to choose the Bears, I've been a Bears fan as long as I can remember. I picked Denver cuz I'm and admitted Pats hater. And lastly, I don't care about the Seahawks or the Redskins, but from what I've seen thus far, I believe this game belongs to the seahawks. Also, all the teams I picked to win beat the teams they are playing earlier in the year.

lol all good excuses. cept for the fact that your girlfriends dad likes the steelers? do u WANT him to HATE you or something? cause thats just asking for it. yes these teams did all beat the other teams but in the Pats defense they had major injuries at that point. but they are defiently beatable. still i think they will beat the broncos.

The "X-Factor" in the Pats/Broncos game is very simple... Tom Brady vs. Jake Plummer. Yes Jake had probably his best season as a pro, but his history in the playoffs is dubious at best. Further, the Broncos excel at running the football. The strength of the Pats defense over the last two months has been stopping the run. So odds are Jake Plummer is going to have to beat the Patriots. I just don't see that happening. Belichick is a genius at designing exotic coverages, and Plummer is no Peyton Manning. He's going to make a mistake somewhere and cost his team the game.
On the other side you have Tom Brady... 10-0 as a starter in the playoffs, and never makes a mistake that causes his team to lose a game. You couldn't ask for a more steady performer at the quarterback position. Corey Dillon is going to have to finally show up and play though, or it's going to be a long day for Mr. Brady.

that is true Jake quietly has had probably the best season of any QB this year. but no one noticed because theres peyton manning and farve not having such a hot season. also u have tom brady and mike vick so everyone was looking at other QBs while Jake quietly put up great numbers.
Yes Tom Brady is 10-0 in the playoffs but he didnt win those games himself. it took the whole team to do it but he was defiently the main component in it.

Steelers don't have as much to prove as the Colts, many times in the play offs the patriots have put away the Colts as an inferior team, now the season is here were Indy overcame Pats in Foxboro breaking a streak of losses in their last meetings, The Colts want to prove they are not a team that beats all the easy teams but rather a Super Bowl caliber team, everyone knows the steelers are already up to that

ah but they havent proven that they are. they have not reached the superbowl yet. ya they had a great season last year but they did lose int he playoffs. the colts arent playing the pats so that negates some of your arguement but not all. if they were playign the pats id say colts wini but im sticking w/ the steelers.

um, Jake plummer the best season of any QB this season? Hmm Carson palmer, tom brady, peyton manning (as u mentioned), brad johnson , marc bulger till he got injured in middle and near the end of the season, :SS i dont think so, maybe in the 1/2 of the season because he had only 3 picks, even shannon sharpe said a few weeks ago, "Though jake is having the season of career, it looks like hes going back to the "old jake" anyway, my picks
Steelers @ Colts= Colts, though i want steelers 2 win
Patriots @ Broncos- Patriots patriots
Panthers @ Bears- Panthers, i really want bears to win
Redskins @ Seahawks- Seahawks

Colts still have to beat pats, i think thats the only way pats will go down, but i believe colts will be able to do it this year, however before this year colts were a team that was not respected as much as this year because the pats always put them away, this year colts have stepped up and if they beat the steelers they should make it all the way to the Bowl

I know nuff that I hate tom brady so why wouldnt I wish harm on him?
It's not like he will get hurt jeez ive wished it all season has not happend yet...I didnt wish for mcnabb to get hurt badly but he did brady prob wont have anything happen to him. but I will wish it on him till the day im dead I dont know what else to say I mean really, I didnt know ted bundy but after he killed all those women I wanted him dead. I dont wish death on brady but I do wish for him to get hurt bad to see how good the pats really are. without him, I hated seeing carson palmer get hurt im not a bengals fan but.... that was really bad. but in football people get hurt thats all i'm saying and just once I wish it on brady one day it should happen he should have something happen to him I wish it was this season but it may not.
